As a branch, AfriForum Mossel Bay works within its community through several key focus areas:

• Community safety & neighbourhood watches: The branch participates in establishing and managing neighbourhood and farm watch structures. For example, they helped establish a neighbourhood watch in Great Brak River in response to rising crime concerns. AfriForum

• Safety networks / regional cooperation: In January 2024, AfriForum launched a regional safety network covering the Southern Cape, which includes Mossel Bay, George, Oudtshoorn, and Knysna.
