Experience the breathtaking beauty of Mossel Bay, where the majestic Outeniqua Mountains meet the deep blue Indian Ocean. This coastal gem offers rolling green hills, rich farmlands, and vibrant culture — a paradise filled with fynbos, aloes, dolphins, and whales. The Ironman 70.3 Mossel Bay showcases this spectacular region through three challenging disciplines:
Swim (1.9 km): Starting opposite the Santos Beach Pavilion and finishing at De Bakke Beach.
Bike (90 km): A single-loop course that takes athletes along George Road, Louis Fourie Road (toward Albertinia), the N2, and the R327 to the scenic Gouritz River valley before returning to Mossel Bay.
Run (21.1 km): A two-and-a-half loop route past iconic landmarks including the harbour, the historic town centre, the Dias Museum Complex, and The Point, ending beneath the Cape Saint Blaize lighthouse.
